Business Development Manager

Position Overview:

As our Business Development Manager, you will help drive KeyNet’s growth. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans to acquire new clients and expand our market reach. You will build strong relationships with potential customers, identify their IT needs, and present our solutions effectively. This is a hybrid position that requires in-office hours. Success in this role requires passing a pre-employment assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Connections: You’ll develop and manage long-term relationships with new clients, becoming a trusted advisor.
  • Lead Generation: Proactively identify and pursue high-potential sales leads, arrange meetings with prospective clients, and track progress.
  • Strategic Sales: Collaborate with the business unit team to craft strategies that align with customer needs.
  • Negotiation Expertise: Negotiate directly with clients, securing opportunities that meet competitive conditions and customer requirements while achieving sales objectives.
  • Industry Engagement: Represent KeyNet at networking events and industry association meetings, potentially involving travel.
  • Continuous Learning: Participate in ongoing training to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Proposal Creation: Translate customer needs into compelling proposals.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Foster positive interactions and relationships within the KeyNet team by sharing sales strategies and results to achieve continuous improvement.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Manage sales records, revenue data, and key metrics using KeyNet’s CRM to inform strategic decisions.
  • Customer Focus: Identify ways to improve the customer experience and build lasting brand loyalty.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in sales roles with Professional Services, Managed Services Providers, Cybersecurity, or a similar field.
  • A proven track record of exceeding client expectations. 
  • A proven track record of exceeding goals and objectives.  
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • An understanding of technology and cybersecurity standards to effectively support clients.
  • Ability to think strategically and analytically.
